Manchester City’s players don’t need much of an excuse to let their hair down after sealing the Premier League title with weeks to spare.
And in the hours after a 5-0 thrashing of Swansea cemented their place at the top of the table, they were pictured out in Manchester city centre.
Kevin De Bruyne, having missed out on the PFA Player of the Year award that was claimed by Mohamed Salah, was among those in attendance.
Vincent Kompany, David Silva, Kyle Walker, John Stones, Ederson and Fernandinho were also spotted out on the town.
Members of the backroom staff, including Mikel Arteta but not manager Pep Guardiola, joined them in celebrating the league triumph.
The players met up at Australasia Restaurant before they were driven 100 yards in blacked-out Mercedes vans and cars to Panacea Nightclub for a club party.
Earlier in the day Guardiola’s side had confirmed their domestic dominance with a convincing victory over relegation-threatened Swansea.
David Silva, Raheem Sterling, De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus were on target as City racked up the goals in front of a party atmosphere at the Etihad Stadium.
The victory took City to 90 points, with four games still to play as they target becoming the first side in Premier League history to break the 100-point barrier.
The five goals also took their tally up to 98, just five shy of Chelsea’s record haul of 103 in 2009-10.
They return to action next Sunday to face West Ham in a trip to the London Stadium.
