Sophia Omidiji Receives Late Call Up For Super Falcons Friendly Against France

Netherlands-based player, Sophia Omidiji, has received a late call-up invite to the Super Falcons for Friday’s friendly with France in Le Mans.

Sophia was given birth to in the United States but plays for S.B.V. Excelsior in the Netherlands.

The Super Falcons take on their French counterparts in an international friendly game on Friday, April 6 at the Stade MMArena, Le Mans.

The NFF and newly unveiled Super Falcons coach Thomas Dennerby earlier released a 17 woman list for the friendly encounter aginst France which Sophia was not included.

Sophia currently plays for S.B.V. Excelsior in the Netherlands  and was part of the crew that unveiled the new kits for the national team set-up that caused massive reactions on social media

Sophia has previously been called up to the Falconets team for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup  qualifiers in 2015, but has been called up to the senior women’s team set up for the first time to take part in the game against France.
