As he is so often is, Cristiano Ronaldo was the star of the show for Portugal on Friday night as he struck two late goals to secure a 2-1 victory for his side in a friendly against Egypt.
The Real Madrid attacker was in good spirits today as the Euro 2016 winners prepared for their next assignment, which sees them take on Holland on Monday in Switzerland.
Holland will be aiming to bounce back following their disappointing defeat to England, but Portugal, especially with Ronaldo in their side, will be confident of securing another victory.
Having surprisingly won Euro 2016, Portugal will now be seeking to win the World Cup for the first time, although their group at the finals does contain Spain.
Portugal finished top of their qualifying section, edging out Switzerland on goal difference.
As well as Ronaldo, other players being put through their paces at Servette’s Stade de Geneve included Besiktas winger Ricardo Quaresma.
Portugal haven’t been beaten in normal time for 14 matches, a run stretching back almost a year.
Santos’ team have further friendlies against Tunisia, Belgium and Algeria to come before the tournament gets underway.
