Manchester United star Paul Pogba led the tributes to Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the club decided to part ways with the Swedish forward.
The Red Devils announced on Thursday that they had terminated the veteran’s deal at the club after he agreed to join MLS side LA Galaxy.
Ibrahimovic scored 28 goals in 46 appearances during his first campaign at Old Trafford and scored twice during United’s 3-2 EFL Cup final win against Southampton at Wembley.
And, while Eric Bailly was less glowing of his departing colleague, Pogba was quick to send a message to ‘the Lion’.

‘You’ll be missed Lion, wish you all the best,’ wrote Pogba.
United attracted Pogba and Ibrahimovic to the club in 2016 without the lure of Champions League football and the duo helped the club back into Europe’s elite competition by winning the Europa League last term.
However, United crashed out against Sevilla last week after a disappointing 2-1 defeat on aggregate to the La Liga side. Pogba started neither leg against Sevilla and has lost his place in United’s starting XI.
The Frenchman has been struggling for form and fitness in recent weeks and reports claim he’s set to be dropped for France’s clash with Colombia on Friday.
