With the FA Cup the only piece of silverware realistically left for Mourinho to win, fans will be hoping the club put in a strong performance against the Seagulls on Saturday.

Despite the mounting pressure, the Portuguese boss looked in a positive mood as he joked with his driver before leaving his hotel.

The 55-year-old will be hoping to get his side back on track this weekend and will be looking to motivate his side during their training session on Friday afternoon.

Mourinho will have all of his big guns available for the cup tie but could be without Ander Herrera as he continues to recover from a thigh injury.

A defeat at Old Trafford will surely bring Mourinho’s future into question after facing criticism already this week.
