Nigerian forward Samuel Kalu was on target as KAA Gent secured a 2-1 win over Genk in the Belgian Pro League on Sunday.
The 20-year-old put in a matchwinning performance against 5th placed side to ensure that his side go home with the full 3 points.
Birger Verstraete opened the scoring in the 11th and Kalu doubled the visitors lead when his strike found the back of the net in the 77th minute. Leandro Trossard scored for Genk in the 87th minute.
Kalu who put in a strong performance played for the full 90 minutes.
Meanwhile his compatriot Moses Simon and Anderson Esiti were also in action for Gent.
Gent’s 2-1 win over Genk means they will play in play-offs.
Gent sit 4th in the Belgian Pro League table.
