Sergio Aguero is reportedly set to miss Monday’s Premier League clash with Stoke after picking up a knee injury in training.
Goal claims the Manchester City will miss the trip to the Britannia tomorrow night after suffering the setback on Sunday.
Aguero has been in sensational form this season with 30 goals in all competitions, 21 of those coming in the league.
However, he will now miss a pivotal game for Pep Guardiola’s side, who are just four wins away from crowning themselves champions of England.
It means Gabriel Jesus is likely to lead the line after recovering from his knee injury.
But City fans can breathe a sigh of relief, with Aguero’s knock not as serious.
The Argentine is set to undergo more tests, but it’s said that he could be facing a spell of around three weeks on the sidelines.
That would also see him miss the Premier League clash with Everton at the end of the month.
However, Aguero is aiming to be available for selection for his country’s upcoming friendlies in less than a fortnight’s time.
And he should be fully recovered for Man United’s trip to the Etihad in early April.
