Nigeria midfielder Kelechi Nwakali scored twice as he opened his account for MVV Maastricht in their 3-1 victory over Jong FC Utrecht in the Dutch second division on Friday.
The 19-year-old scored his first Maastricht goal as he bagged a brace.
Nwakali who is on loan to Maastricht from Arsenal, scored in the 23rd and 48th minutes, which saw his side return to winning ways following their last defeat to Fortuna Sittard.
He has played seven league games for Maastricht since joining them in January.
Attila Yildirim got Maastricht’s third goal on 89 minutes while Nick Venema was on the scoresheet for Jong FC Utrecht on 69 minutes.
Maastricht are 12th on 38 points in the 20-team league table.
