John Terry Returns To Chelsea As Club Legend Joins Antonio Conte To Watch Former Team-Mates Train

Chelsea legend John Terry dropped in on a training session with his old team-mates.

The former captain watched on from the sidelines and received a warm welcome by Antonio Conte.

The Aston Villa defender was not participating in any drills, dressed in jeans and a jacket, but appeared to be relishing a return to his old stomping ground.

The 37-year-old is attempting to steer Villa to Championship promotion and will not doubt have provided a lift to those in the Chelsea dressing room by turning up.

Conte was pictured cracking jokes with the veteran centre-back as the other coaches watched on from the dugout.

Terry departed the Blues at the end of last season in fairytale style as the Stamford Bridge club lifted the Premier League title.

This season hasn’t been plain sailing for the Blues and Conte’s men now face enormous pressure to finish in the top four.

Chelsea currently sit five points behind Tottenham and will be desperate to close the gap.

With just nine games remaining, three points against Crystal Palace at home on Saturday is a must for the champions.
