Mohamed Salah and his Liverpool team-mates wrapped up warm for their training session at Melwood on Thursday as they prepare to take on Newcastle this weekend.
Despite the freezing cold temperatures, Jurgen Klopp’s men were pictured smiling and laughing ahead of Saturday’s game against the Magpies.
All three of Liverpool’s deadly attacking trio took part in the chilly training session and are all available for selection.
Following the Merseyside club’s easy work of West Ham, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has described the trio as ‘frightening’ after they took their collective goal tally to 66 for this season last Saturday.
Even more impressively, Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have scored 16 goals in the club’s last six matches which would strike fear into any defence according to the former Arsenal man.
‘It’s frightening,’ Oxlade-Chamberlain told the club’s official website. ‘There won’t be too many trios in Europe that can muster up those sorts of numbers.
‘They’ve been brilliant for us in front of goal, but defensively as well they know their jobs, they work really hard and they’re really good, honest lads and good to be around.
‘They’re the type of lads that you really want to see succeed and do well, and you want to do everything you can to help them to achieve their goals and ultimately to help the team achieve all of our goals.’
Oxlade-Chamberlain is often put behind the superb front three and has revealed how their link-up play can be devastating for the opposition.
‘The three of them work really well and when they’re playing the way they can, when Bobby is coming deep and the other two are running in behind, it gives you so many options to play in behind or to feet to link up with them.
‘When they’re on song, there is no three you’d rather have in front of you.’
Liverpool are currently in third place two points behind Manchester United going into this weekend’s round of fixtures.
