Atlectico Madrid are reportedly ready to offload Fernando Torres after he fell out with manager Diego Simeone.
The 33-year-old returned to Atletico in 2015 but now looks set to leave at the end of the season.
The Spanish news outlet Sport reports the return of Diego Costa has reduced the former Chelsea forward’s importance at the club.
And Atleti have proposed that Torres moves to Chinese side Dalian Yifang as it appears his services are no longer needed in Madrid.
The Spain international has started just seven games in all competitions this season and is struggling to secure playing time with Antoine Griezmann, Diego Costa and Kevin Gameiro in the squad.
His lack game time have led many to question the striker’s future at the Wanda Metropolitano.
It seems Torres could be a free agent in the summer after Simeone confirmed El Nino is available to leave.
During a press conference this week, Simeone was asked: “Would you be willing to do everything to make sure that Fernando Torres returns next season?”
But the Atletico Madrid boss bluntly replied: “No.”
Torres has scored five goals in 25 appearances for Atletico this season.
