Jack Wilshere has been the subject of an enquiry from Italian champions Juventus.
Wilshere, who has been left at home rather than taken to Ostersunds on Thursday night, can leave Arsenal on a free transfer in the summer when his current deal of around £100,000 per week expires.
The Gunners remain confident that the midfielder, 26, will sign a new incentivised £80,000-a-week deal.
England international Wilshere has suffered from a series of injuries in recent years.
However, this season he has made 18 starts in all competitions, as well as coming off the bench seven times, to put him in the frame for the World Cup.
The midfielder has scored once and created two assists in the Premier League this term for the Gunners, as well as helping guide them to the Carabao Cup final, where they will meet Manchester City.
