Manchester United arrived at the Lowry Hotel on Friday night ahead of their Premier League clash against Huddersfield.
Fans got a quick look at star signing Alexis Sanchez ahead of the Chilean’s home debut at Old Trafford.
The forward waved at the fans gathered outside the hotel as Jose Mourinho attempts to bounce back from their midweek defeat by Tottenham.
Sanchez has had a mixed start to his career at Manchester United. His debut in the FA Cup win against Yeovil was a success but he was kept largely quiet in his league debut against Tottenham.
The former Arsenal man was subject of some close defending from the Spurs defence and was on the end of a nasty tackle from Dele Alli.
He will be hoping for a more successful afternoon in front of home support as he awaits his first goal in United’s colours.
There were no signs of nerves though as Sanchez smiled to his adoring crowd on Friday night, dressed in the club tracksuit.
He was joined by the rest of the team who all met at the Lowry Hotel to prepare for their Premier League tie on Saturday.
Boss Jose Mourinho may be tempted to experiment with his front line after a disappointing performance at Wembley.
The Red Devils are 15 points off local rivals Manchester City and Mourinho is now determined to finish second.
He said: ‘We need points to be the first of the last. We have to try to finish second. We are in this positions all season.
‘We were first for a few weeks and then we were always second. I don’t remember us being fourth, fifth or sixth, we have been there since the beginning of the season.
‘The fight is open for second, third fourth fifth and sixth, but it’s practically closed for the first.’
