Plateau United Go Top Of The Table, Yobe Stars Secure Second Win

Nigeria Professional Football League defending champions Plateau United defeated  El-Kanemi 3-0 on Wednesday to go top of the table.

Goals from Jimmy Ambrose, Joshua Obaje and Raphael Ayagwa secured full 3 points for Plateau United in their matchday 4.

Aiteo Cup Champions Akwa United sit second in the table after beating  Niger Tornadoes 2-1.

Victor Mbaoma scored the winner in the 72th minute to give Akwa United their third win of the season.

Yobe Stars secured their second win of the season after beating Lobi Stars 1-0, thanks to Chinedu Ohanachom’ goal.

Newly promoted club Go Round were held to a 1-1 draw by Heartland FC. Solomon scored in the 11th minute to put the hosts ahead but Julius Ubido equalized for Heartland in the second half to ensure the spoils are shared.

Kano Pillars defeated Abia warriors 2-1. Nyima Nwagua opened the scoring in the 28th minute, Ndifreke Effiong scored the equalizer for the visitors but Junior scored the winner in the 62nd minute He’s the leading scorer with four goals.

10-man Kwara United beat Wikki Tourists 1-0 at Ilorin Township Stadium thanks to Stephen Alfred’s goal.

MFM FC beat FC IfeanyiUbah 2-1 at Agege Stadium. Goals from Akila Jesse and Olatunbosun Sikiru.
