Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has revealed that he will recall long-term absentee David Luiz to first team action in the new year.
The Brazilian has not played a Premier League game for the Blues since the end of October, having been dropped after falling out with Conte before picking up a knee injury.
He recently returned to training and is now closing in on making his first appearance in two months, with both the defender and youngster Charly Musonda being lined up to face Norwich City in the FA Cup on Saturday January 6.
At his pre-match press conference ahead of facing Stoke, he said: ‘All the players are available – the same players in the last game are available.
‘And about Musonda and Luiz, I think they are improving a lot and I think their recovery is very close. ‘I don’t know if [they will be ready for] the next game but for sure the game against Norwich. For sure Luiz and Musonda will be available, Conte added.’
Chelsea take on Stoke on Saturday and Arsenal on Wednesday.
